Always Enough

Thought will always bring back to us what we send out.  Ernest Holmes

We know that what we think, comes about.  And since our experience is the sum total of what we have thought, it makes sense that when we are lacking good results in our lives, it is necessary to clean up our thoughts.

What I find fascinating is that my thoughts are creative whether I am thinking positive or negative.  I get what I think.  Recently, in working with a client, we had a discussion of what was not enough in her life - namely, not enough money.  Several times during our give and take, the statement was, “I need enough money.”

“I need enough money,” implies lack.  So, since it is a dominate thought, lack is what shows up.  Sometimes we get abounding lack in order to “get the lesson.”

Changing our thoughts from negative statements to positive ones are challenging.  Because of the habit of being negative, catching what we are thinking or saying is not the easiest to get.  What happened to me was that I was just so tired of now “having,” that I finally got the message.

So, instead of “not having enough,” I changed my thinking to “always enough.”  Before I paid my bills, I affirmed to myself that I always have enough.  The first time I experienced this, I only had $1.00 left over.  But I realized that I had enough.  But what to do about the rest of the month?  When I thought about money, I reaffirmed that I always have enough.  I did get through the month.  I dipped into my pantry inventory and ate up lots of foods that didn’t exactly go together, but I had enough to eat.  I was taken out to lunch or dinner several times, so I didn’t need money.  I started the month with a full tank of gasoline in my car, so I didn’t need any until the last week.  I found that I could walk to several locations in order to “save” gas.  It worked.  I got through the month with a dollar left over.

The next month was easier and I had more left over because I always have enough.  Whether you need money, friends, joy and laughter, love, food, or whatever, you always have enough.  Or change it to, “more than enough.”  Your choice.  You may have a greater idea about what you are experiencing.  Use it.

It is okay to experiment with this concept and see what happens in your life.    I choose to have “good results” no matter what my circumstances are.  Blessing on your journey.

Aligning with the Power

We have within us a power that is greater than anything that we shall ever contact in the outer, a power that can overcome every obstacle in our life and set us safe, satisfied, and at peace, healed, and prosperous, in a new light, and in a new life.  Ernest Holmes

Think about the above quote.  What if we believe it to be true?  We have the power of our minds to create anything we could possibly want in life.  The secret is to decide what it is that we want.

I know that whatever I think has been great in my life, that there is still more to experience.  I am so ready to do that in more areas of my life.
I am ready for my life to rock.  And I know it is up to me to think up ways for that to happen.

Thomas Merton tells us, “You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going.  What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith, and hope.”

In order to recognize the possibilities and challenges, we need to keep an open mind.  I know that challenges are presented to me to offer me opportunity to take a new step forward or upward into a new level or realm of consciousness.  The higher I go in consciousness, the closer I am to the way God thinks and creates.

Ernest Holmes goes on to tell us that, “The time will come when we will not have to demonstrate at all because we will be living so near to the law (mind in action - thinking) that it will do all for us without much conscious thought on our part.”  How cool would that be?  All that we need or want comes to us automatically.  Join me in that quest?

Acceptance of a greater good

We must identify ourselves with the limitless Source of prosperity, love, friendship, happiness, and spontaneous joy, and maintain this identification through new patterns of thought.  Ernest Holmes

Changing patterns of thought or habits can be daunting.  It takes practice, patience, and endless reminders of what it is that we want to change in our lives for the better.

That hemostatic part of us just wants to stay the same.  But it can be done.  We can change whatever we want by knowing that there is something better for us.  Dr. Holmes gave us some clues as how it is done.  If it is any consolation, every time Dr. Holmes tells us that something needs to be done on a “daily,” basis, it means he had to do it “daily” too.  When I got that, it felt so much better knowing that even the “master” had challenges with the subject.

Clue number one:  The first thing we need to do is to get quiet within ourselves.  We need to quiet the inner critic - just ask it to be patient and reassure it that good times are coming soon.

Clue number two:  We need to believe that it is possible for us to have what it is that we want.  We live in the Kingdom of God, all is for our benefit and participation.  We are surrounded by the abounding abundance of God, why then, are we being so parsimonious with ourselves?

Clue number three:  Every time we identify ourselves with the Spirit within, we are dealing with a certainty, and every word of affirmation replaces any denial.  In this way, we build up within ourselves an acceptance of a greater good.

I am reminded of when I was a child and I remember I told a “little white lie.”  I told it so many times, that I started believing it myself.  Affirmations are the same way.  But repeating them often, getting into the truth of them, will bring us to the point of full belief.

Clue number four:  This one is all my clue for me.  When I want to change something in my life or get something new, I sit down and list all of the reasons why this is necessary in my life.  By reading and re-reading it, I come to a natural acceptance of the truth of it for me and once I have totally embodied it, it shows up for me.

God is my Source of many things in my life.  It is a source of peace, calm acceptance, surrender into greater wisdom, and allowing myself to experience more of what life is.  I just have to REMEMBER that God is the solution to all of what is going on in my life.  I don’t have to “go” it alone.

We need to know there is a limitless abundance of all things good.  We can remember and remind ourselves of this every day.  Join me?

Goals or resolutions?

Year after year, I have set goals for myself only to have forgotten what most of them are in a short space of time.  I realized that they weren't all that important to me.  The important ones just showed up for me.

No more resolutions.  No more goals.  I now realize that life is perfect, my body is perfect, my environment is perfect, there is nothing to fix or change.  Since that is the case, what needs to change in order for me to be content or feel great?

In clearing out my desk, I found an affirmation I wrote years ago.  It says, "It is possible for me to step into a comfortable lifestyle that gives me the results I want."  In reading this, I realized that I am and have been living it for several years.  How great is that?

Nothing to change, nothing to fix.  In getting use that that concept, it really feels like I have loosened up the way I live, my attitudes, how I see my world.  Now, when Charlie Carter, our year old puppy, barks up a storm, I think, "Its perfect."  He wants the attention and barking is the way he gets it.  I just have to appreciate more of what he is.

When Alan needs something from me, I remind myself that we have spent ten years together in perfect harmony and in order for that to continue, I keep my mind open and listen to what is being said and declare it perfect.  It makes living with a partner so much easier.

Nothing needs to change in order for me to feel content or to feel great.  My life is perfect the way it is including the dishwasher that needs repair, laundry that needs to get done, floors that need to be scrubbed, and all the other everyday chores that need doing.  All is well in spite of what needs to be done.

I got called for jury duty for next week.  What is that all about?  It has been years since I have been called and why now?  Do I even want to get into a situation that may be filled with the Virus (s)?  In order to get though the experience unscathed, I have to declare it "good" no matter what confronts me.  I just need to remember it as I get into the downtown traffic, or crowds, or whatever.

All is well.  And so it is.

Happy New Year

Somehow, I have just dropped of the blogging game.  Nothing since 2016!  Hard to believe all that time has passed with nothing from me.

What has happened is that I read a line in a magazine by Dr. John Waterhouse that says, "What if instead we lived a life in which there is nothing to fix because nothing is broken?"  It got me to thinking.  Certainly, I know that nothing needs fixing but I have complained about lots of things over the years that were not to my liking.  Thinking back, I am not sure that anything changed but it sure felt good to get it out of my system.

Life has changed for me since 2016 in that I am firmly settled into retirement and loving it.  I have had some health challenges but have gotten them all corrected enough to be able to function at a steady pace.  In those things that are still challenging, I have hired the help to do them for me.  Why didn't I hire a house cleaner earlier?  What a luxury to have.  Or to have a robot to run around the floors every other day to just clear the dust, if nothing else.  A new kitchen sink faucet that turns on and off with just a touch. And a reverse osmosis system that gives us clear water that tastes wonderful.

Luxury items that are now in use are because they are easily affordable now.  Now, I am more concerned with increasing our net worth than buying for the sake of just buying.  How fun it is to put lots of money into savings each month and watching it pile up.

Why don't most of us wise up sooner to what is important in life?  I realize that for each person it is different but wise is wise and it it took me a long time to figure out some things.  When younger, I knew everything and didn't pay much attention to what was told me to me as "preaching."  I also realized that some of the stuff I heard was not applicable to the life I was living or what it is that I wanted to accomplish.  No more "someday" stuff.  To stay stress free and relaxed, do it now.

My wise is now to accept more of life just as it it.  Accept.  No complaints!  To look at everything as a blessing or a gift.  Sometime it takes some time to realize what the blessing or gift is suppose to be, but overall, my life right now is really great.

I bless you with the same for the New Year.

Vacation time

Off on a two week vacation.  Please
check back soon.

Go for the Big-time

Dream big.  Believe big.  Pray big.  Make room for God to do something new in your life.  Joel Osteen

Stop and think about this:  We live in the Kingdom of Heaven.  Everything here is here for our benefit.  It's like having a buffet of goodies.  What are we choosing?  Steak or weanies and beans?  The price is the same no matter what we choose, so why not go for the biggest and best we can imagine.

We need to declare what Joel calls, "our best life."  Here is an example of my declarations:  I call in great health, tremendous abundance and prosperity, relish restoration and healing.  I am living all of my dreams now.  I am a magnet for great blessings that are explosive in a huge way.
I accept God's dream for me.  All in my life is a gift of great magnitude.   I am open and receptive to all of God's ideas and I act on them immediately.    Creativity flows for me all of the time.  From now on, I am permanently slim, slender and healthy.  My good surrounds me and I take advantage of all the new opportunities immediately.

All declarations are in present time, positive, and ready for my best life now.

While on my road trip, I listened to Joel on the radio, and got inspired to revise my dreams, update them, and supersize them.  Since God always says
"yes" to all that we call for, why not go for the very best at the size all of us can accept in the moment.

We are created in the image and likeness of God, which means we are all masterpieces in the eyes of God.  I don't know about you, but I am stepping into my genius now.  My feeling is that since I have an idea about something, God placed the idea and with it, the ways and means to bring it about.

I am making more room for God to do something new in my life.  Join me?

We are of God

We all are a fragment torn from God.  Epictetus, a Greek Philosopher

Being fragments of God means that we are exactly as God is.  Makes sense since the Hebrew Bible tells us that we are made in the image of God.  Hence, we have the same nature as God and we have all of the same qualities of God.

Deep thinking about that can give great comfort or as me, when I first read it, scared the bejeezus out of me.  ME!  THE same as God!  That means that I can create, demonstrate, and manifest exactly as God.  Since I am God, who am I asking for what it is that I want to experience in life?  Am I asking myself or God?

Since I have the same qualities as God, then all I have to do is speak my word or declare what it is that I want to experience in my life.  I have the same Power as God.  One thing I do know that in order to attract the good things of life, I have to, HAVE TO believe that I am blessed with a Divine Nature and that I am worthy of receiving all that this Kingdom of Heaven can provide.

The great shift for me was realizing that I am precious, important and loved by God.  Something inside changed for me.  All of us are created for a specific purpose and I realized that there wasn't a way to get out of that purpose no matter how much I denied the urge to do so.

What again changed for me was that I got busy doing what it is that I needed to do in my life.  Suddenly, I was experiencing peace, pleasure, and plenty in all things.  Stuff just started showing up.  Ernest Holmes teaches us that, "By thinking, you set in motion a Power that creates.  It will be exactly as you think.  You throw out into Mind an idea, and Mind creates it for you and sets it on the path of your life."  It truly is simple, fun and easy.

Notice:  I am traveling for several weeks, so please check back soon.

Honoring Dreams

There is within you a spark of the Divine that is capable of great things, greater than you ever imagined.  This "spark" communicates with you through your desires.  Dr. Deepak Chopra said that our desires are Life's attempts to move us out of our limitations, to move us off our current position, into new and exhilarating experiences.  Beginning this moment, honor your dreams and accept that you can do what you choose to do.  The urge to live a more expansive life is not only coming from within you, but it supplies the power to implement the necessary action for your desired accomplishment.  Dr. Ruth Wilkerson

The key to the above statement is "it supplies the power to implement the necessary action for your desired accomplishment."  That spark within us gives us the desire, the dream and then supplies all we need to get it done.

Most of us think that when we get an idea, we need to get the whole, complete plan for the idea.  I have found that normally I get the idea and when I start on the idea, step by step, I get more of the plan or more ideas to carry out the plan.  Rarely do I get the whole process at one time.  I think if I did, it would overwhelm me and I wouldn't even start the process.

Most of my lessons come from what I do in my daily life.  Ordinary things open up for me.  For example, I love to knit.  Right now I am working on a project that I have never done before.  It is a sweater with a front pocket and hoodie.  I am working on the pocket and the directions don't tell me how to attach the finished product to the front panel.  I know that when I slide my hands into a front pocket in my other jackets, there is no space open to the inside.  But, as I was working on the pocket panel, and thinking about the process, an idea came to me and I thought, "check out 'You Tube' for more instructions."

There is always an answer or solution to every desires accomplishment as long as you are open to receive an answer.  Thank you Divine Spark within me for supplying me with a solution.  IT always works.  And I make sure IT always works for me.  Make it your Divine Solution too.

Say "Yes" to all of Life

There is a Power operating through, a Presence inspiring, an intelligence guiding, and a Law of Good sustaining you.  Upon this Presence, this Power and this Law you may place complete reliance.  Because you live in a this Divine Presence and because It is in you, you may know that the creative Law of Good, which is infinite, and which has all power, can do for you or bring to you, anything and everything necessary to your complete happiness.  Its whole desire for you is one of freedom and joy.
Ernest Holmes and Raymond Charles Barker

What a gift and blessing the above is when you think about it deeply.  We have the power within us to bring to us whatever our heart's desire.  Our desire is God's desire for us.

Several days ago, there was an article in the newspaper about a man who was 107 years old.  He lives alone, mows his own lawn with a push mower, volunteers at his church, and served in the military through several major wars.  The reason for his longevity, he says, is to always look forward to something new in life.

This man got me to thinking.  Sure, I am retired, but based on me living beyond 100, I have more than enough time to create a new career and to be able to finish it - if there is such a thing.   What "something new" would I like to get involved in and what would bring me huge amounts of satisfaction?  Right now, I am not sure, but, based on having a Power, Presence, Intelligence, and Law of Good within me and sustaining me, I am sure I can get some new ideas for my new career.  This is a very exciting prospect for me to even think about.  What would be the most fun?  Work has not always been fun for me, so just this idea of what would be the MOST fun is very intriguing.  I am looking forward to this process just to see what comes up.  I am already smiling...

State Your Desire

You have the Power within you to confront any situation with assurance and certainty.  You are here to experience the type of life you desire.  You can be healthy, happy,  free, and abundantly supplied simply by knowing that your life is the Life of God.  Dr. Ruth Wilkerson

Dr. Ruth goes on to say that, "You have every right to feel good about yourself because you are good.  The Power of God is your Power, and as you accept that It responds by a support that exceeds any need."

Knowing that the Power of God outmatches any problem and can erase it completely all the while replacing it with a perfect solution is very comforting.  Think about it.  All we need to do is place the issue into the hand and heart of God and allow it to be erased, replaced and solved.

What's left?  Perfect Life.  All we need to do is remember to do what needs to be thought about and turn it directly over to the Principle of Life.  We are all a "fragment or spark of God" and as such I know that we are precious and important to our Creator.  God would not create such magnificent creatures such as we are and then pull the rug out from under us.  God does not operate that way.  In fact, every spiritual teaching tells us that God is good and that that goodness flows to each and every one of us as we allow it into our lives.

I know that I want more "permanent" good of all kinds to flow to me or show up on the path of my life.  Each of us gets to define what our "good" is.
I think it includes radiant health, infinite wisdom, fabulous substance and supply, abundant prosperity, increased order and harmony, deeply abiding peace, grace, and well-being.  Along with all of that, I want serenity and security all around me so that I can feel and operate with the wholeness of life.  All of this translates into the highest and best I can imagine for myself at this time.  I love knowing that the Power of God is within me and I can use it for my pleasure for whatever I think I need that this time.  What's on your buffet?

A Time for Remembering

The time has come in our evolution when we should awaken to the recognition that behind each one stands the Eternal Mind - that each has complete access to It; that each may come to It for inspiration and revelation - that that surrounding all is a Divine Law obeying the dictates of this Eternal Mind.  Ernest Holmes

Several blogs ago, I wrote about my friend who is experiencing Stage IV
cancer and she is now in Hospice.  When I talk to her, her voice is very weak and I can barely understand what she is saying.  Sometimes her sentences are disjointed and don't many any sense.

When speaking with her this morning, I told her that I would love to know what she had learned through this experience and she replied, "I haven't learned a damn thing." That came through loud and clear.  It made me laugh again.

That is what I miss about her more than anything.  We use to make each other laugh and we talked about things that were silly and we were able to laugh all the more.

I remember in Ministerial School, we were suppose to MindMap the next Sunday's sermon and submit it with part of our weekly assignment.  The next Sunday was Easter.  I got to thinking, how much can an Easter service change from year to year?  I called my friend and said, lets MindMap last year's sermon, and play hooky on Sunday and go to Great America as this will probably be our last Sunday to all play together before we started our new careers as ministers.  Most of our class was ready to play at an amusement park and we did go.  Had a wonderful time.  My friend and I laughed about the experience for years to come.  The problem with it was that every Easter since that time, all I wanted to do was go to an amusement park.  I wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel and release balloons from the very top and watch them float away again.

She is one of the greatest blessings of my life.  I miss her already.  God, surround her with comfort, courage, peace and release as she gets ready for her next journey of life.

Remember

We are guided daily by Divine Intelligence into paths of peace, where the soul recognizes its Source and meets It in joyful union, in complete At-One-ment.  Ernest Holmes

Since being on a spiritual path, one of the hardest things I have had to remember is that "the whole of God is present at any and every point within God."  I forget that I am a spark of God, that I have the same power within me as God, and that I need to recognize it and use in order to create what it is that I experience in this life.

Ernest Holmes taught that, "First realize that Divine Power is; then unify with It; and then speak the word as "one having authority," for the Law is "the servant of the Eternal Spirit throughout all the ages."  All I have to do is align with the power within me and use it like I mean it for whatever is needed in my daily experience.

When I have remembered "who" I am and come into that authority, all goes well in my life.  Even when the "stuff" hits the fan, I can go through it with
equanimity and realize that no matter what, all is still well in my world.

My secret is, to remember!  Dr. Holmes goes on to say that, "Man (you and me) would have no burdens if he kept this "High Watch toward The One" - if he always turned to God."

Let us remember to include God in all of what is going on within, without, and around us.  I am ready for an easy life, which what I think about when I think of having a "burdenless" life.  I don't mind the challenges, the issues, the situations, as long as I know that I can get through them with ease, with a sense of calm and peace.

The Course of Miracles tells us, "If you knew who walked beside you..." I am ready to remember more of my spiritual intuition.  If you remember with me, I can remember easily and with greater succession.  I will help you, you will help me and together we will help the world around us to remember.  All manner of things are well.  Let it be done.

My Ideal Merges Into the Real

We know that the Principle within us guides us in the way and the performance of Truth.  Whatever is for our benefit is already provided.  It is all One Presence, operating through One fundamental Law, therefore, everything necessary for our well-being is brought into our experience.  All good, all substance, all supply, all activity, all opportunity for self-expression is ours now!  Ernest Holmes

When "stuff" happens to us, it is hard to remember that it is part of our good.  It is hard to remember to see ourselves as God sees us, free and filled with vitality and sufficiency for every occasion.  We forget that the way to access Spirit is through our breath, which is why at the beginning of every prayer, meditation or even just a contemplation, it is suggested to "take a deep breath as you release all of the cares of the moment."

For myself, I have to remember to go to that place in my mind where I have created a room where I feel loved, nurtured, blessed, respected, filled with wisdom, strength and love.  This is my place of deep connection with Spirit and where I can feel a profound shift in my consciousness for healing, or deep thought, or getting ideas, or needing transformation or a shift in thinking.

Everything has already been provided for our benefit.  Step into that space in consciousness.  Make it part of your conscious daily environment.  Pay attention as to how your life changes because of this change in your attitude.  I am willing to see for you that not only do huge changes take place for you but that you experience more good, substance, supply, activity and opportunity.

Ernest Holmes said, "By thinking, you set in motion a Power that creates.  It will be exactly as you think.  You throw out into Mind an idea, and Mind creates it for you and sets it on the path of your life."  Throw into Mind the biggest ideas you can possibly imagine and watch the good, substance, supply, activity and opportunity show up on the "path of your life."

Life can be a glorious, fun-filled experience.  Join me as we make it even better.

Great Aspirations

Know today that within you is a Power and a Presence.  Whatever you might need is always right there, at the right time, in the right place.  Think great thoughts, abundant thoughts.  Add to your thoughts strong feelings and convictions that the universe is always in perfect agreement with your richest aspirations.
No matter what it is that you are thinking, the universe is always in agreement with you.  If you think you are right, you are.  If you think you are wrong, you are.  Interesting how that works.  And how hard that lesson is to learn in life.

When we learn that the subconscious mind is the builder with us, we can learn to give it an idea upon which to work and release it to produce the manifestation in its own way.  It can build and rebuild our bodies.  It can heal our wounds of whatever nature.  It can take our ham sandwich, digest it, and move the nutrients to any place in our bodies that need it.  It can do the seemingly impossible when it is teamed up with clear and conscious direction.  It does not initiate.  We direct the conscious mind and the subconscious mind will take what the conscious mind provides and work it out in detail.  The subconscious mind does not question.  It simply acts upon what it is given.

We can give it the greatest aspirations we can think of, and the subconscious mind will go to work for us and create it to the best of its ability.  It is our internal Infinite Treasure House.  All we have to do is take the time to figure out what it is that we want to create in our lives and allow our minds to fulfill our heart's greatest desire.  Can you imagine?

Anything!

We need to fill our subconscious minds with the most prosperous, healthful, and constructive ideas that we can possibly think of for our minds to work on while we sleep, while we meditate, or while we are working on other things.  Then we need to just release it all and watch what shows up on the path of our lives.  What fun!  Join me?

Infinite Supply

Supply and demand:  If you knew there was infinite supply, you would have no need to demand.  Alan Cohen

Ernest Holmes tells us that, "Somewhere there is already provided a lavish abundance for every want - a supply equal to any claim that can be made upon it - BUT THE DEMAND MUST BE MADE! "As you believe."  Each as the power to demand his share of the gift God has provided of health, wealth, and power.  Each is supplied AS he believes."

Demand and believe may not be the right words.  I think that the word "know" applies in both paragraphs.  Think about this.  Elsewhere, Ernest Holmes tell us that we the incarnation of God.  Each of us has the Presence of God within us.  Other books tell us that we have the "spark" of God within us.  Other mystics tell us that we have the same powers that God has.

Since that is the case, I think we need to move beyond "believe" and move into "knowing" that our power is equal to whatever our prevailing consciousness is at the time that we need it to accomplish whatever we want to experience.  I use the word "prevailing" because there are times when it is easy for me to manifest what I want and others when nothing seems to work.  I know it is based on my "prevailing" consciousness.

The prevailing consciousness also needs appreciation, gratitude, and thanksgiving, which again, according to Ernest Holmes, is the motive power which attracts and magnifies the hidden potentialities of life.

When thinking about the lavishness of nature and the abundance that nature provides, I remember my Mother growing cucumbers every summer that she would can.  And every once in a while, she would miss one and it would grow into enormous proportions.  Potatoes, tomatoes, corn and other vegetables were the same way.

Try counting the blades of grass growing in your lawn.  Or the leaves in just one small tree. Or rain drops or snow flakes or clouds in the sky or stars at night.  We can't.  There are too many.

But somehow, we can't equate that "too many" into the abundance that is available to us.  Why not?  You know what?  I am going to think about that this week and figure out how I can translate that abundance into my life.  I am so ready!  Are you?

Make It Permanently Worthwhile

Because thought is made of the stuff that forms the universe into definite creation the Law is charged with the power that we give it.  It molds our ideas and beliefs into visible form and casts them back multiplied.  The only concentration necessary in the best use of Mind is specific mental attention and complete mental acceptance.  You make up Its mind for It.
Ernest Holmes

My suggestion is to astound yourself in the process.  As Dr. Holmes tells us, we make up God's mind for our use, we may as well make up the most incredible thing we can think of and stick with it until it becomes a reality in our lives.

Dr. Holmes goes on to teach us that, "To learn how to think is to learn how to live, for our thoughts go into a Medium that is Infinite in Its ability to be and to do."  Whatever is going on with us, if we don't like certain aspects or situations, all we have to do is think again.  We forget that we are living in an Intelligent Universe, which responds to our mental states.  By learning how to control our mental states, we learn how to control our environment.
How cool is that?

Each of us has the right to choose what its that place into Mind.  We forget that we have the power to do this.  It is so much easier to complain about what it is that is on than it is to think about what it is that we want in life.

Why is it so difficult to remember that a "Certain, specific, intelligent idea in Mind, will produce a certain, specific, concrete manifestation equal to itself?"  I have read that quote by Dr. Holmes numerous times and each time I tell myself I am going to memorize it and yet...somehow, when things get difficult, I forget what I am suppose to do.  This time, I am going to make it a permanent memory.

More than anything, I want my life to be worthwhile, to mean something to me, to have more than one purpose, to truly astound myself several times in the process, and to allow myself to be surprised by the Universe.  How about you?

Take Time To

In order to create balance in our lives, we need to Take Time to

Work - it is price of success

Play -  it is the secret of perpetual youth

Think   it is the source of power

Read - it is the fountain of wisdom

Pray - it is the conversation of God

Laugh - it is the music of the soul

Listen - it is the pathway to understanding

Dream - it is the hitching your wagon to a star

Worship - it is the highway of reverence

Love and be loved - it is the gift of God.

Taken from a postcard - source unknown

When I feel my life tilting off balance, I realize that somewhere along the line, I am missing something important and it usually something from the above list.  Added to the list I have included journaling, contemplating, keeping in touch with friends, prayer partners, hugging pets, exercising, bird watching, catching sun rises or sun sets, teddy bears and cabbage patch dolls.  Add whatever is important to you.  You may want to think about your creative endeavors such as coloring, music, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, woodwork, and playing musical instruments.  Anything that feeds your soul creates balance.  Whatever makes you  happy is important no matter show insignificant it may seem.  Richest blessing on your balanced journey this week.

Increasing Consciousness

If you think of Life as always bringing to you everything you need, you will have formed a partnership with the Invisible which will prosper you in everything you do.  Ernest Holmes

Stop and think about the implications of that statement.  How much more can you handle in your life?  How much richer do you want your life to be?
No matter how we already have, there is so much more for us.  We need to
open our minds to the possibility and opportunity for more.  How much can we handle?

The whole mental process and scope must be broadened and deepened, the whole expectancy must reach out to more, the whole imagination must lead its feeling to grateful acceptance and joyous recognition of what is surely possible in life.

For me, this has been a step by step process.  One of which has been exciting, terrifying and satisfying in various degrees.  At some stages, it has taken extreme courage and, others, a cheerful step forward.  At times, the less thought I have put into it, the easier it has been.  Others, I should have given it more thought.  Hindsight is always 20/20.  But whatever sight, it has brought me to where I am right now.

Yesterday has been an excellent example of some of the experiences of late.
Recently, I had a bone graft placed in the lower area of the front of my mouth.  When the damaged tooth was removed, the oral surgeon discovered lots of bone damage and so decided that I needed to have some bone replaced.  He added cadaver bone and covered it with a membrane to hold it in place and put  some stitches in it.  The stitches were self-absorbing and were gone in a short period of time.  The membrane stayed for two months.

I stressed about having it removed.  My prayer partner reminded me that the "hand of God" would be removing the membrane and that "it would be easy, comfortable and I would be at peace."  Well, not only was it comfortable, I didn't feel it coming out and when he removed several what he called loose pieces of bone, I didn't feel those either.  Truly, the hand of God was at work.

The lesson again for me is that in my partnership with God, not only do I have all that I need, but I am given what I need in the moment of stress and distress.  Life is what I desire it is for me - simple, fun and easy all the time.

Spirit is my Invisible Powerhouse always ready to assist in times of need and otherwise.  How conscious are you of your Invisible Power?
