Patience Pays Off Big

"Spiritual slumps are those periods when life feels stagnant and God feels far away."  Jane Beach

Several times in my life, I have felt the "spiritual slumps."  And as Rev. Jane goes on to explain, they are times of preparation for what's ahead.

This is a great lesson not only in patience but to stay present to what is going on in your life.  I have a tendency to want to jump forward into what's new and next not fully prepared for the energy or what is needed to fully experience that next phase of life.

There have been a few things I have learned and one of them is to be patient because there will be a lift off and I will be flying soon enough.  I use this slump time to rest, renew and get myself ready for what is about to take place.  Knowing God, it is something spectacular and is designed especially for me.

I use the time for the completion of projects that need to be taken care of before the "next" big push into what my next phase of life is to be, including a deep cleaning of the house and a purging of what is not longer needed in my life.  There is something wonderful about spring cleaning - like a deep breath of fresh air right after a gentle rain.

Your next step of life is a giant step in consciousness and it takes courage to be present and alertness to know when the time is right to make a move.  I always ask for signs so that I know I am on the right track.  The sign can be anything out of the ordinary like finding a penny on the sidewalk, street or even in your house.  I once found $.75 in the washer with only my underwear in it.  Very mysterious!  But fun.  My sign that it was time to move into something big, lucrative, and energetic as the money was made up of pennies, nickels and dimes.

All of this reminds me to again "pay attention" to what is going on around me.  I invite you into the journey with me because if know the adventure will be great fun.
