Increasing Consciousness

If you think of Life as always bringing to you everything you need, you will have formed a partnership with the Invisible which will prosper you in everything you do.  Ernest Holmes

Stop and think about the implications of that statement.  How much more can you handle in your life?  How much richer do you want your life to be?
No matter how we already have, there is so much more for us.  We need to
open our minds to the possibility and opportunity for more.  How much can we handle?

The whole mental process and scope must be broadened and deepened, the whole expectancy must reach out to more, the whole imagination must lead its feeling to grateful acceptance and joyous recognition of what is surely possible in life.

For me, this has been a step by step process.  One of which has been exciting, terrifying and satisfying in various degrees.  At some stages, it has taken extreme courage and, others, a cheerful step forward.  At times, the less thought I have put into it, the easier it has been.  Others, I should have given it more thought.  Hindsight is always 20/20.  But whatever sight, it has brought me to where I am right now.

Yesterday has been an excellent example of some of the experiences of late.
Recently, I had a bone graft placed in the lower area of the front of my mouth.  When the damaged tooth was removed, the oral surgeon discovered lots of bone damage and so decided that I needed to have some bone replaced.  He added cadaver bone and covered it with a membrane to hold it in place and put  some stitches in it.  The stitches were self-absorbing and were gone in a short period of time.  The membrane stayed for two months.

I stressed about having it removed.  My prayer partner reminded me that the "hand of God" would be removing the membrane and that "it would be easy, comfortable and I would be at peace."  Well, not only was it comfortable, I didn't feel it coming out and when he removed several what he called loose pieces of bone, I didn't feel those either.  Truly, the hand of God was at work.

The lesson again for me is that in my partnership with God, not only do I have all that I need, but I am given what I need in the moment of stress and distress.  Life is what I desire it is for me - simple, fun and easy all the time.

Spirit is my Invisible Powerhouse always ready to assist in times of need and otherwise.  How conscious are you of your Invisible Power?

Safe and Secure

I am not alone, for a Presence goes with me and daily accompanies me on my travels.  My ways are made straight before me.  Ernest Holmes

Several weeks ago, I was traveling to Corpus Cristi for business, and while I was passing an 18-wheeler truck, one of his tires blew out and I could feel the force of the blow-out force my car left.  Next, I notice that the truck is drifting into my lane.

Yikes, where do I go?  As I steer left, I drive over that portion of the asphalt that is chattered to let you know that you are about to drive off the road, and I can feel my car dragging into the meridian and I cannot hold it on the road, so I just allow the car to drift into the ditch.  I slowly brake and stop.

Taking deep breaths and willing my heartbeat to slow, I look up and there is an overpass about a quarter of a block in front of me and I am headed for one of the concrete supports.  I look out my window, and I am window deep in tall grass and weeds.  Well, I drove in here, maybe I can drive out of here.

My car sounds the same, so I slowly start forward and up.  As I get closer to the road, the traffic behind me is slowed down considerably because of the debris of the tire that is scattered all over the road and I easily am able to come up on the road and get back up to speed.  After going under the overpass, I see a fence divider in the center of the meridian and I wonder, was there one where I went down?  Where was it?

I pull off the freeway at the next exit and gas station to use the restroom and to walk off the rest of the adrenaline rush.  Whew!  More deep breathing.  I walk around the car to see any damage and there is none other than the fact that I picked up a lot of vegetation.  My poor car looked like it had been driven straight off a farm.

Continuing on my journey, I remember that in my treatment work that morning, I remembered that I had declared a "safe and secure journey."  That is what I had.  Albeit, a bit of an adventure driving down a ditch, missing a fence, a concrete support, flying tire debris, but...safe and secure.

I got what I asked for.  Thank you, God.

Fasten Attention on Possibilities

Face your negatives and then lift your consciousness to that Mind in which there is no problem to be solved, no person to be pacified and no debt to be paid.  God knows you aright, even though you may not know yourself aright.  The universe believe in you, appreciates you and gives its all to you.  Raymond Charles Barker

Can you imagine being in a place where there are no problems to be solved, issues to deal with, challenges to overcome, health issues to medicate, or dealing with difficult people?  That would be my Nirvana.  There have been times when I consciously put myself in just this present moment  that I have experienced this precious consciousness.

Realizing that on a daily basis, I need to always upgrade my thinking and feeling to always say yes to all that intrigues, inspires and helps me to grow mentally allows my consciousness to move into that place of pure bliss.

In order to move into greater good, it means thinking in terms of a greater God.  And then thinking of my own spiritual nature in equally larger terms in that I am deserving, worthy and have the possibility within me to achieve all that I have ever wanted in making my grandest dreams a reality.

Recently, I have discovered the power of "permanent."  My health is permanent.  My financial freedom is permanent.  My good increases incrementally permanently. I am able to appreciate my blessings and always think in more, getter, bigger and better permanently.  Divine Ideas are my impelling force for my greatness permanently.  Divine Order and Harmony are my expression permanently.

Since God only knows Itself as us as perfect life, we need to know ourselves as perfect life.  I will be spending some time thinking and journaling about what "perfect life" means to me and how I want it to show up for me.  I invite to join me and lets see where it takes us.  Underlying it all, we need to remember to enjoy all of what life is to us.

Experience is the Key

We already are in a Perfect Universe but It needs to be mentally seen and spiritually experienced before It can become a part of our everyday life.  Ernest Holmes

Early in my classwork with Dr. Robert Scott, he told us that we needed to keep a "Results Journal" of the wonderful things that happened to us as a result of taking classwork, of doing spiritual mind treatments (prayer work), and the improvements we could see in ourselves while reading, studying and implementing what we were learning.

Unfortunately, my Results Journal was started with a Pen-Tab 100 sheets college ruled notebook that is now tattered, somewhat torn, scribbled up, and falling apart.  In looking through the early days of my ministry in San Francisco, CA., one of the most astonishing "results" was a copy of a money order issued by Safeway Stores.  Whenever possible, I kept copies of checks, pictures, etc., to have a visual of my demonstrations.  This particular day, I was telling God on the way to church that we needed money to take care of some bills and that it was necessary that they were paid immediately or the telephone or heat or whatever was going to be cut off because of lack of payment.  The mail man came and slotted the mail through the door and when I picked up the envelopes, there was one with no return address, no stamp but just our address on the front.  When I opened it, it had this Safeway money order for $500.00 with no signature but it was made out to Church for Today.  I remember looking at it and thinking, "I wonder if this is a "good" check."  I didn't even know Safeway issued money orders.

I deposited it.  It was good.  Yeah!  I got my demonstration and it was just enough to cover what was needed to keep us open for another month.

God experienced creates a feeling of increased faith when needed for the big stuff of life.  My Results Journal is filled with my experiences of God fulfilling something that I asked for, got as a delightful surprise and lots are of new ideas, new angles and new perceptions that came to me while reading or thinking about what I was learning or teaching.  My tattered journal is a treasured gift from the Universe and God.  I encourage you to think about starting one.  It is great fun to look back and see all of the wonderful experiences that fill it up.
